For those who are new
We may be just the place
you’ve been looking for. At PBC we accept people where they are and
help them be what God wants them to be.
We believe most people are looking for two things in a church:
1) Acceptance
2) Answers
Acceptance is important to everyone.
At Ponderosa we welcome you just as
you are -- no matter how you are dressed or where you have been in
life. Look around you. We come from a great many backgrounds, and we
have faced the same struggles of life all people have. But we have
found acceptance and love in God’s family, and we want to pass on that
love and acceptance to you. We provide a place to meet and develop new
friendships, a place where you can feel at home. And you can leave your
wallet at home without feeling guilty. At Ponderosa, giving is for our
regular attendees and members who have come to consider us their church
home. As you visit, if we are not the right church for you, then you
won’t feel you have wasted a cent.
As our church family gets older, we
especially realize the need to reach out to younger families. If that
is you, please let us know how we can best meet your needs and those of
your family. But no matter what your age may be, we welcome you and
want you to feel at home here.
Answers are found in God’s Word for every issue of life.
We firmly believe that. Our goal
each week is to give you a Sunday experience that is uplifting and worth
your time. We think going to church should be an event that adults,
students and children look forward to. We want to share positive
biblical teaching that will give you direction and help you experience
life to the fullest. We know we are far from perfect, but we are
committed to making a difference in people’s lives, finding solutions
and answers from God’s perspective.
The messages are directly from the
Word of God, not just motivational talks on philosophy or politics. It
is important to know exactly what God’s Word means so that we can apply
it correctly to life. Each message is from the Bible verse by verse and
book by book so we understand God’s plan for us. I hope a little
creativity and sense of humor will help you understand the Bible more
clearly than ever before. In addition, the application of the Word of
God each week will help you live your life as God intended.
